An exciting next step in the NEB’s ongoing support for Ukraine is the opportunity for Ukrainian municipalities to apply to join the Cities Mission by participating in SUN4Ukraine, an initiative aligned with NEB’s principles and the ambitious climate goals of the European Green Deal. Ten cities will benefit from workshops, technical assistance, and guidance on sustainable urban planning. The programme focuses on three areas: building a foundation of climate-neutral principles, fostering partnerships between Ukrainian and EU cities, and scaling successful strategies across other municipalities. Cities not selected as Flagship Municipalities can still participate in knowledge-sharing and resource exchanges.
